WHAT WE DO

Urban Recovery is an innovative strategy addressing substance dependence, compulsive disorders, and pornography addiction through unique methods. The team comprises individuals with similar life experiences, aiming to create a paradigm shift and ensure inclusivity. 

No one decides to become an addict. There are normally very complex and deep personal reasons for falling prey to such a debilitating disorder. At Urban Recovery  we see addiction as a symptom of a larger illness, almost as an attempt to self medicate and keep that illness at bay. Here, our philosophy is different. We believe that treating an addiction is only part of the healing process. We look to rehabilitate the whole, or at least identify where the greater problem lies.

At our treatment center, we use our own unique program in association with Project Exodus and practice in a safe and warm environment of mutual understanding. We aim to give you control of your life back, help you reconcile with your past and empower you to embrace the future so that you are able to reach your FULL POTENTIAL.

Meet Steven, Founder of Urban Recovery and Director of Recovery at Shamar Clinic, your seasoned and senior guide through the maze of addiction recovery. With over a decade of battle-tested wisdom under his belt, Steven is not just an Addiction Recovery Coach and Group Facilitator – he’s your go-to for untangling the knots addiction. With audacious determination, he’s walked his own recovery path since 2012 and steered  groups from 2014. 
 
Steven stands tall as a pioneer in the realm of addiction and recovery. Having orchestrated a staggering 1720 group sessions by November 2024 . He is approachable, enthusiastic, and oozing passion, he’s like your personal encourager on the journey to recovery.
 
But that’s not all – Steven’s Reputation with Urban Recovery (partnership alert: Project Exodus), boasting an impressive 80% success rate among program graduates.
